Another beautiful spring morning and a dry and settled forecast for the next 10 days.  Rainfall for March very low and all the jumps tracks are watering to avoid firm ground including Newcastle where we will be today with one runner, So Ladylike in the 3.30pm.  She ran a nice race on seasonal debut at Wetherby but was disappointing at Doncaster last time; I’d like to think she can be forgiven that run as it was a fast and busy race against a lot of Southern yards, she should be much more at home today back in novice company with a small field – Tash rides and 6 run.

So Ladylike

Only one runner in the end at Hexham last week; Maillot Blanc ran better to be 4th but again didn’t really see the race out, we have another idea so hopefully next time he will be more in the mix.  And at the Morpeth point to point on Saturday Not the Chablis was 3rd under Jess, perhaps not quite able to show his best on the good ground.
