Cooler now, and showery. A busy day for the Team tomorrow with two runners at Haydock and two at Carlisle; good ground at both with some good to firm at Haydock – ideally some overnight rain will ease conditions. First up will be Lucky Soldier making his chasing debut in the 2.17 at Carlisle, I maintain that he’s a much better horse than he has shown to date and maybe fences will be the key. Ground should be fine, track not quite so sure but hopefully he can run well – 10 run and Patrick Wadge rides.

Next will be Bel Amigo going for his three timer in the 2.52, up in trip and carrying a 12lb penalty which we are offsetting with Dom’s valuable 10lb claim so he shouldn’t be far away of he turns up in the same form – 7 run.

Next we switch to Haydock where recent course and distance winner Dubai Days runs in the valuable Veterans Series Final at 3.15; this looks super competitive but he was runner up last year (on much softer ground) and is in good order so he ought to play a part at the business end – Bruce rides and 10 run.

Finally we run Artic Row in the 5.00; he’s had good excuses for his last two runs and should be much more at home on this sounder surface at a flat track over his optimum trip – 7 run and Callum Pritchard rides claiming a valuable 5lb off his welter weight of 12st 2lb.
