Cool and grey this morning but sun coming out now.  Hopefully the ground won’t dry up too much and we will be able to run our four delared runners mentioned yesterday starting with Everyday Champagne in the 2.50.

Everyday Champagne

He was a bit rusty and the ground was too soft on his reappearance last time; he should be sharper and the ground ideal tomorrow so if he can return to the form of this time last year he should run well – 7 run and Bruce rides.

Artic Row

Artic Row reverts to hurdles in the 3.21, this looks like a competitive race but the handicapper has given him a 5lb lower hurdle mark which will be further helped by Dom’s 10lb claim so he could run a big race – 8 run.

Bel Amigo

We are doubly represented in the 3.53 with Bel Amigo (Bruce) and Mack the Man (Kit).  Bel Amigo is on a four timer having won three times at Carlisle this spring.  He faces a much tougher task back in handicap company off top weight and not sure the drop back in trip on this ground will see him at his best but he seems in very good order and is only running off the mark he was alloted when he came from France last year so he should give a good account.

Mack the Man

Mack the Man won this race last year, that was off 3lb higher and although his bare form recently doesn’t look great there have been signs that he is turning the corner so hopefully he will be competitive – 7 run.
