Tuesday preview written on Sunday as may be a tad busy tomorrow… I’d expect the ground to have dried out a bit more and there is a chance of some showers which would help all our runners if they materialise.
Orkney Blue
We start with two runners in the 1pm; Orkney Blue (Bruce) and Scarlet Jet (Conor). This looks a good race with plenty of expensive recruits from the point to point field, a few of whom have backed that up with very solid rules form. Orkney was a good 2nd at Hexham last time and should be suited by the step up to 3m, he would need to find significant further improvement to make the frame though. Same can be said for Scarlet Jet who was a promising 4th last time at Carlisle in a race that has worked out well – 10 run.

My Kiwi Girl takes a drop back in trip having been 3rd last time in Listed company at Haydock, that form would see her go close tomorrow and she’d have a great chance if the ground eases, she just might find 2 miles a bit sharp on good to soft. Richie McLernon rides and 8 run.
We are doubly represented in the staying hurdle at 2.30, Gaillimh a Stor (Bruce) and Artic Mann (Dom). Gaillimh was a very close 2nd over course and distance last time and should go close if as effective on the better ground.

Artic Mann has been a model of consistency and should improve for the better ground having become stuck in the mud at Haydock last time, Dom’s 10lb claim will be a big help as well – 9 run.

Finally we run Bel Amigo in the 3.40, he has had a few irritating little issues since he made his stable debut 10 weeks ago but seems to have left them behind him now so should run well despite a big weight, assuming his French based handicap mark is fair – Bruce rides and 7 run.
