Glorious weather so far today, blue skies and sunshine, a little cooler and will be late back from Perth tonight so a quick preview of our five likely runners tomorrow, ground given as on the easy side of good still and will need to remain that way for them all to line up.
Koala Keel likes good ground and was running a big race when taking a heavy fall at the last hurdle at the Perth April meeting, she is fresh and well now though and if her confidence is in tact and she runs a similar race tomorrow she shouldn’t be far away in the first race at 2pm, Grant rides and 11 run. Then Fly Rory Fly runs in the 3m novice chase at 2.30, 4 run and whilst he is wrong at the weights with a couple he does at least have chasing experience which the others lack, Lucy rides.
Frankies Promise then makes a return to racing under rules in the 4.45 after a season point-to-pointing; he finished that on a good note with a promising 2nd at the end of April but will have to progress again tomorrow to prove well treated off his current mark, Lucy rides and 10 run.
Very different underfoot conditions for Titian Boy in the 5.15, if they suit him and he handles the tight track then he should run well, too big “ifs” mind you – Henry Brooke rides and 9 run. Finally we run Craiganboy in the 5.50, Grant rides and 8 run, he ran very well to be 2nd here last time and a repeat of that should see him involved at the business end.
Ladies Day tomorrow, forecast is great and bound to be a huge crowd creating a wonderful atmosphere; 8 races and some 35 minute gaps so plenty of time for many to get spectacularly sozzled, not so the Trainer of course, he will be far too busy…..
