Hexham today, Perth tomorrow

By | 2018-06-02T10:09:49+00:00 June 2nd, 2018|

Warm and muggy this morning, no material rain as yet, badly needed, best part of an inch at Perth yesterday turning ground to easy side of good but none at Hexham meaning it has gone to good to firm in places forcing the withdrawal of two of our declared runners for this afternoon – Titian Boy and Benny’s Secret.  Rain forecast for later in the afternoon, hopefully not too much for two remaining runners starting with Fly Rory Fly in the feature 3m chase at 4.45, he has a big weight in an open looking handicap but should be well suited by the trip and ground, 9 run and Lucy rides.

Fly Rory Fly

Then in the 5.20 Andhaar returns to the course and distance of his recent win, up 9lb for that convincing win he still shouldn’t be far away if he turns up in the same form, 18 run and Kit rides.

Tomorrow at Perth we have two declared runners, Koala Keel making her handicap debut in the 3.05 and Craiganboy in the 4.40, Grant rides both.

Koala Keel

Koala Keel has good novice form but doesn’t look especially well treated now going handicapping, 9 run, Craiganboy steps up to 3m for the first time after finishing a good 2nd here last time – I think he will be fine over the extended trip and so long as there is a decent bit if cut in the ground should run well, 9 run.
