So read the form figures of our 6 runners at Ayr this week, what is it they say about buses? 80 runners without a U or an F then 4 from 6, the stats reasserting themselves, 1 in 12 is the average. A trifle frustrating for sure but very pleased to report that all horses are fine and well this evening, as are the riders.
Will try not to read too much into this poor patch of jumping and it is nothing to do with the hard weather preventing us schooling over the last week but as more open conditions approach I suspect there will be plenty of schooling on Monday morning. After wind and rain yesterday back to frost this morning but the gallop in great shape and I think a record 38 ridden here, quietly squirreling away to see if we can add another from the sale at Cheltenham this evening but value hard to come by.
No runners at the Jedforest point-to-point at Kelso tomorrow, hoping to go to the rescheduled fixture at Alnwick next Saturday instead, possibly at Wetherby that day as well and before that hope to be well represented at Newcastle on Wednesday. Lucy at Sedgefield tomorrow to ride Sa Suffit in the 3.35.
