Massini’s Lady is a big chasing type of mare with plenty of attitude

We have two runners today starting with Massini’s Lady in the 2.20, 10 run and Stephen rides having done much of the recent work at home with her jumping, she has a lot of ability in that regard but has been very green so today will be all about teaching her to enjoy her jumping on the track; she will be suited by the course, ground and distance and should step up on her reasonable bumper form.

Then we run Dutch Canyon in the 4.25, Lucy rides and 14 run, this looks competitive enough for his seasonal debut but he won’t mind the ground and will like the trip, probably prefer a flatter track and keeps plenty for himself at home so will come on for the run but he should still run a nice race. ¬†Great fun at Kinneston yesterday afternoon when we hosted a Pony Racing Taster Day for the local Pony Clubs, a dozen children with a variety of experience in this discipline enjoyed tuition from Lucy, Kit, Stephen and Peter Buchanan prior to having a spin on our grass “horseshoe gallop” – lots of smiling faces!
