Rain  today, quite gentle and welcome, nearly all the horses together in the school and on the AW, riding 30 now,  I enjoyed having them in one place and being able to compare and contrast rather than dashing around the farm trying to catch up with different horses doing different things, trying to see everything but ending up seeing not very much at all.  They are looking well, have good coats and are fresh, just where I like to be at this time of year.

Slaney Star receiving some physio, a quirky horse that I am sure has talent, just need to get him feeling good about himself.

So, I dared to moan that there was only going to be one live TV debate between the main protagonists in the referendum – after last night’s effort thank goodness. Absolutely no point in having any more of that, it was disappointing;  both men failed to answer the most important questions put to them, both insisted on trying to talk over the top of each other and both resorted to cheap jibes about mistakes they may have made as individuals in the past.  The electorate deserves better, this is an immensely serious question and both sides need to explain what might actually happen rather than reduce the debate to this level, all rather depressing, no winner so far as I was concerned. I think I prefer concentrating on horses, on that note I would like to put a small partnership together to take on two horses in the yard, they will be good value and are possibly the two best handicapped horses here, do contact me if you would like details – 07831 488210.

Amidst all the sporting of excitement of last week I forgot to mention the very important "Old Men's Tennis" - the tennis might not have been much good but hard to beat the setting!
