A fine day, sun, no frost to speak of and plenty of work done with the horses on all the gallops ahead of a busy 10 days, forecast a bit iffy but nothing too extreme hopefully, our aborted trip to Sedgefield has made this week feel rather long so trust weather will behave now.
3 runners at the Berwickshire point-to-point tomorrow, Allthekingshorses (Jamie), Left Back (Crawford) and Thomond (Kit) – Crawford and Kit should have a few other rides between them as well so looking forward to heading down there after working horses here first lot when we are also expecting plenty of visitors which is always fun, most especially on a Saturday.
Only one runner for us at Ayr then on Sunday, Bertalus in the 5pm, ground just a bit too heavy there for a lot of our horses at the moment (bet you never thought you would hear me say that!) and we do have five horses pencilled in to run there on Tuesday. Bertalus has a lot to prove after a couple of disappointing runs, he seems fit, fresh and is working well so hopefully he can find his form again back at his winning course/distance and going.
After that hoping to be at Kelso on Thursday then Haydock next Saturday. Have a nice weekend everyone, today’s photos taken in the snow earlier this week by our brilliant in house photographer – Danni D!
