A fair morning and having avoided most of yesterday’s rain racing goes ahead at Ayr where the ground will be heavy.  We have a busy day starting with The Orange Rogue in the 12.20, Brian Harding rides and only 4 run, trip will be on the sharp side for him but he should like the ground and hopefully he will have a nice introduction to hurdling.  Then in the 12.50 we run Frankie’s Promise (Brian Harding) and  Marlee Mourinho (James Reveley), 9 run and hopeully both can continue to build on their promising starts over hurdles.  The in the 2.20 we run Wicklow Lad (Kit), 8 run – I won’t be able to blame the ground not being soft enough this time!  Finally we run Makhzoon in the 2.50, D O’Regan claims a valuable 7lb and he seems in good heart, 7 run.  Great to be racing at Ayr again and whilst the ground should suit our horses it is a shame not to have been racing there through the autumn and early winter when conditions would have been perfect, delighted that 2014 sees two extra November fixtures.

As I have always suspected Daasij wasn’t suited by Musselburgh yesterday, nothing ventured as they say….
