Fine weather now, plenty of birdsong and just about light when I step outside in the morning, busy now so taking advantage of the early light with an early lot at 6.45,  we head to Newcastle today where we have two runners on ground that will be soft and probably very tacky.  Marlee Mourinho runs in the 3.20, 9 run and Diarmuid O’Regan rides, first spin in a handicap, track and distance should suit but not at all sure about the ground, we will see.

Then Frankie’s Promise runs in the 4.20, Lucy rides and 4 run, conditions should suit; we have done further work on his jumping and though he has a couple of pounds to find with the favourite he ought to run well if he would just jump on the course like he does at home, my own journey will involve a diversion to Kelso to pick up the colours bag which I managed to forget on Saturday amidst the excitement, speaking of which can’t resist another couple of pics….
