Bright and dry but a strong cold Northerly wind today, heralding what is to come next week I suspect but tomorrow focus is on Newcastle where surprisingly the ground is on the quick side of good. We run Northern Acres (Lucy) in the 2.15, 13 run, and its his first step up to 3 miles, he ran very well at the course in the spring winning twice and being runner up once, that was all on much softer ground which I suspect he prefers these days but he seems well. ┬áIn the 3.50 we have Spinning Away (Lucy) declared, 16 are due to run but I suspect she won’t be one of them if the ground is as described as she is a big heavy mare, hope it might be OK though as very keen to run her somewhere, it feels like we have been training her since time began….

Spinning Away - 5yo half sister to Buffalo Ballet, I have always held her in the highest regard and hope that one day patience will be rewarded (ps she is for sale ...shhh)
