So, changeable weather, icy hail showers here and stormy at Newcastle where yesterday’s good to firm has now become good to soft and could be a lot softer by the time we are racing tomorrow, tricky making plans in the circumstances but what will be will be and hopefully we will run Rossini’s Dancer in the 3.40, Kit rides, 9 run – he still looks very high in the weights to me and we’ve been waiting for the better ground for him, not sure that we are going to get that, he had form on heavy last season but did seem to improve for the switch to good ground last autumm, we will see.

I was also hoping for soft side of good ground for Allforthelove who we run in the 5.25, Harry Challoner rides and 14 run. He was completely bogged down int he mud at Ayr last time and wont run if it ends up heavy, a little ironic having advised the owners all week that he was an unlikely runner on account of it being good to firm, hopefully they will understand!

Lucy is there to ride Bella Bellini in the 2.10, Kealigolane in the 3.40  and Trouble in Paris in the 4.50.  Looking further ahead we may run Ocarina at the Berwickshire point-to-point on Saturday (rain there please) and then we have a few entries at Hexham on Monday.
