Mild and damp this morning with a changeable week in prospect.  One runner at Musselburgh this afternoon, Dutch Canyon in the 3.20, 8 run and Craig Nichol rides; the outsider of the field no doubt after an unenthusiastic display at Hexham 10 days ago, visor back on today and should prefer this track and ground but definitely has questions to answer, I hope he’ll run better than his odds suggest.

Last week ended on a high with Jet Master winning at Newcastle to make it three for the week, delighted with that and equally delighted with an excellent first outing over fences for Lake View Lad to finish a close second, giving weight to the whole field his jumping was first class and there should be plenty more to come on softer ground this season.

Bracing and Anhaar both ran their races to finish 5th and 6th respectively, it was a better effort again from Andhaar but Bracing didn’t really progress from her previous run, a smaller field should see her in a better light.  With Hexham’s meeting in doubt on Wednesday the programme is a bit thin this week but we have entries at Haydock and Uttoxeter next week.
