Weather continues to be kind and horses working hard, on the all-weather, on the riverbank and on a newly harrowed track in the carrot field.  They seem fresh and well and hopefully they are getting fit, grass still too firm but we are rather optimistically setting up the schooling hurdles and fences so that we are ready when the ground comes right.

Oats all gone now, only the tatties to go and the machines arrived last night for an early start this morning - like the windmills?  I don't!

Big woodchip boiler decision this week, we are hoping to install a small district heating system so a speedy trip to Ayrshire this afternoon to check out the pitfalls with some good friends who put their’s in a year ago, it all feels right so let’s hope we can press the button on Friday.  Some photographs from out on the farm last night…
