Much cooler now, wind from the North and the clippers are busy.  Some decent showers have taken the sting out of the grass so for the first time since March we were on the “horseshoe” grass gallop and we have been doing plenty of schooling.  An ok sort of run from Northern Acres on the flat at Catterick yesterday to be 5th, better on a more galloping track with a bit more cut in the ground and preferably some hurdles to jump, the run should have set him up nicely for an autumn hurdle campaign.  Entries all over the place today, covering every fixture in the country next Tuesday – Huntingdon, Leicester and Newcastle – and plenty of deliberating going on regarding our possible runners at Carlisle on Friday and Hexham on Saturday – we will see…
