Milder today, but overcast & blustery, rain in the air.  Some good local winners yesterday at Kelso, not for us but delighted with the return to form of Landecker who ran up to his best to become our 25th second of the season.

Always Tipsy also ran very well to finish a close 4th off his career high handicap mark but the day finished on a quiet note with Isla Pearl Fisher appearing disinterested, he ran much better with his hood off last time, I know why I put it back on and rather wish I hadn’t but it might just be a long winter catching up with him anyway.  Back on the Road narrowly failed to make it three in a row for Jamie on Sunday, pointers possibly back out at Corbridge next weekend and today we head to Carlisle where we run Standintheband in the 5.20, 10 run and Lucy rides on good to soft ground.  I think the ground, trip, track and company are ideal for him but he hasn’t recovered his pre-injury form as yet, perhaps today will be the day.
