Cold and crispy this afternoon and sharp frost expected, hopefully not at Haydock where we are hoping to have two runners tomorrow on ground that is likely to be soft with good to soft places for their inaugural meeting of the 2013-14 jumps season.

Milano Magic being prepared for exercise under the watchful eye of his owner

We run Milano Magic in the 12.50, 13 run and Lucy rides, he will need to step up again from his good effort at Aintree late last month but he seems in great order; then Ceilidh makes her racecourse debut in the 3.40, Lucy rides and 10 run – she is an exciting mare and should be suited by the ground and galloping track, but it is a big ask travelling as far first time out to take on some of the big guns and she should come on hugely for the experience mentally and physically – a nice introduction please. ┬áThe lorry left at 1.30pm with Toni, Shellie and the horses – of course thanks to Mr Indecisive they didn’t know until they came in from 2nd lot at 10.45 whether or not they were going so we are as ever indebted to them for their flexibility and organisation.
