Dull and ground very damp but we have missed the worst of the heavy rain that turned the ground very testing around the country over the weekend, at least Perth has a couple of days to dry out before it’s two day fixture this week starting on Wednesday evening followed by the unmissable Ladies Day on Thursday.  More horses being turned out but still 16 or so to ride this morning and a variety of action on the all-weather and the grass which is in perfect condition, getting to know our new arrival Slaney Star whose CV isn’t exactly perfect but he seems a nice horse and should be a fun prospect after scooting in under “AP” at Worcester last week.  Still working hard on some new prospects in Ireland and Lucy over there today having a quiet spin on one; going through the catalogue for Doncaster Sales next week and plenty of interesting horses there and then Brightwells at Cheltenham on Thursday 29th so plenty of choice and I suspect some better value may emerge now that a lot of the big orders must have been filled.  Speaking of value click here to see our newly updated horses for sale page, these two horses are genuinely good value for anyone looking to get involved – we’re only a phone call away – 07831 488210!

Colour coded - I love observing the horses playing in their natural environment when they are turned out and am curious how all the orange ones stick together - it's not as if they are all related
