Absolutely delighted that Humphrey Bee won his first race under rules yesterday at the tender age of 11, a winner of two point-to-points for one reason or another he has been lightly raced over the years and he has had his share of knocks so it was very special that he battled on bravely to defy top weight and win.

An hour later Marlee Massie showed that the penny is definitely dropping by putting up a career best to finish 2nd, he should go on from this, all in all an excellent day.

Marlee Massie, he should progress again from yesterday's 2nd and is for sale at a very attractive price to stay in the yard or a slightly less attractive price to leave the yard - do contact if interested

As these are our only two race fit horses at present we won’t have any runners until possibly the Perth meeting at the end of this month but we are much busier on the yard, I’ve slightly lost count after a bit of a late night but I think we have twenty something horses back in; most of them are in what I call the halfway house regime whereby they are on the walker for an hour each day and turned out for either the afternoon or night, we’ll be riding them in a couple of weeks.

Humphrey Bee post race - won't be much news over next 10 days so on this happy note I will leave blog readers in peace...
