Another splendid spring morning and I am still buzzing after the exhilarating performance put in by Frankie’s Promise to win at Hexham yesterday, his season hasn’t been entirely straightforward and it was very rewarding for all involved to see him show what we had always hoped he was capable of, we will see how he comes out of the race before making any plans but I would reiterate my sincere thanks to the many who have helped find the key to this horse.

Smiles all round!

Daasij struggled a little on the tacky ground but stayed on resolutely to finish 5th, Back on the Road ran well to finish 4th, Ocarina was maybe feeling the effects of a small setback but still ran to the line to finish 5th in the same race and Clan Legend ran very well until tiring up the steep hill, he was on the process of running  on again when he stumbled due to putting his foot in a hole where the last hurdle had been removed so Lucy sat up on him, luckily no damage done and more to come from him I hope.  No runners now until Saturday at Carlisle; beginning to focus on what will be a busy week next week with Kelso, the three day Perth Festival and the Fife point-to-point where the ground is reported to be in great shape.
