We were due to have our first runners at the latter course so disappointed and we have plenty of entries for Newcastle on Friday which looks very doubtful, Sunday’s point-to-point already abandoned.  Time to grit one’s teeth and take the philosophical approach, it will be milder at the weekend and there are plenty of fixtures next week which hopefully might be added to with a replacement fixture or two, badly needed as it is the peak of the season and we have lots of horses raring to go.
