Funny old weather, warm with sunshine and plenty of heavy showers, could do with a quieter spell to make hay but we seem to be faring better than the South. Still busy on refurbishment works here but relatively peaceful with only four horses in training one of whom, Rock of Leon, runs in the 3pm at Cartmel tomorrow. He didn’t want to know at Hexham last time but we’ve done a few things to try to sweeten him up so will be hoping for much better tomorrow, David England rides and 7 run. Kit is also there to ride Ueueteotl in the 2.30 – he will no doubt be disappointed to hear that I need to leave at 6am to attend a meeting before racing.
No doubt the radio will make for interesting listening en route, with Scotland only just recovering from it’s own Referendum I hate how divisive they are and we are now seeing this on a UK scale; whilst I have felt passionate about both issues I have resisted sharing my views on social media to whip up further division among my friends, being the inherent optimist that is require of my profession I shall of course believe the the British electorate have come up with the right answer and pursue the future with enthusiasm whatever the outcome rather than dwell and become bitter…. good luck Britain and good luck Europe.
