A fine day, still on the cool side but  the sun is shining, about 15 horses on the walker here today, one being ridden and most having a spell in the paddock.  A good card at Kelso today and sad not to be represented, Lucy is there to ride Sky Full of Stars in the 2.10 and Kit is riding last week’s Perth winner Chance of a Lifetime in the 4.55.

An eight race card plus a Charity Race featuring  Amy having her first ride back since breaking two bones in her neck in a fall at Ayr last November – she is fundraising for the Injured Jockeys Fund and you can donate here if you would like to support her and this excellent charity.  I will be foregoing the excitement of Ladies Day at Kelso and staying here to watch excellent racing from Kelso, Longchamp and the Curragh as well as  Newcastle United’s  most important battle for survival – an afternoon of frantic channel switching beckons!

Master Butcher (Kit) on their way to post at Perth last month, a repeat of the form would see him go close tomorrow

Master Butcher (Kit) on their way to post at Perth last month.

Tomorrow sees the start of Cartmel’s 2015 Season and we run Master Butcher in the 5.15, Kit rides and 11 run; we have been waiting for this race for a few weeks now and are hoping for a good run, fingers crossed!
