A tremendous team effort to emerge from storm Desmond and the road chaos to produce 8 immaculate looking runners at Kelso yesterday, an effort well rewarded with a first and last race double courtesy of Road to Gold and Marlee Massie.  A very promising run also from Presenting Rose to finish 3rd, Little Glenshee travelled with a little too much zest and as a result didn’t see out the trip but still ran well to be 4th, Massini’s Lady didn’t jump the last but ran reasonably well up to that point and many others gave up before her!  Celestino remains a puzzle and More Madness failed to see Kelso’s “bogey fence” thanks to the low sun and galloped straight through it losing Lucy in the process.

Delighted with the winners and a more detailed debrief tomorrow with some pics but dashing off to try to negotiate traffic chaos en route to Musselburgh where we have two runners this afternoon on ground that is soft (yes, it’s still raining!).  Landecker (Lucy) runs in a first time visor in the 2.20, 11 run and this looks competitive, he hasn’t shown much of a liking for Musselburgh in the past but we’ve been struggling to find the right race for him anywhere in recent weeks so this is the best I can come up with really.  Then in the 2.50 we run The Bishop (Lucy), 9 run, he would prefer a more galloping track but he will appreciate the ground and step up in trip so am hoping he will run a nice race.
