A fine morning, cooler but bright and sunny, home late last night and a decent run from Makhzoon to finish 3rd at Wetherby, unable to dominate so perhaps not able to show his best but a fair effort considering it was his 10th run of the season.  He’s been a really good fun horse since we claimed him at Perth two years ago,  he’s probably done enough for us now and we would be happy for him to move on to the right home, I think he would make a cracking Ladies point-to-pointer (anyone interested please contact me).  We haven’t much left to run now this summer so a quiet weekend for us on the racing front, less so for Lucy who is at Cartmel tomorrow to ride Macgillycudy in the 5.50, Gold Chain in the 6.20 and Azerodegree in the 6.50 then at Kelso on Sunday for Molly Milan at 2.05, Forestside in the 3.10, Glen Lord in the 3.45 and Bengairn in the 4.20.  Wetherby racecourse were kind in letting us stable two horses from the sales there yesterday and they came up here last night, weary today they had a short spin on the walker then a bite of grass, we will ride and assess them over the next couple of days prior to turning them away for a summer break.
