Quiet weather, very mild but rain due tonight, especially in the West and Ayr will have to pass a 7.30am inspection tomorrow morning. If all goes ahead the ground is likely to be heavy and we will have 5 or 6 runners starting with Frankies Promise (Lucy) in the 2.20, the winner of the bumper on this card last year he has had issues with his jumping so far over hurdles, if the steps we have taken to rectify this work he should go close, 11 run. In the 2.50 we run Mahkzoon (D O’Regan), 7 run, he is in good heart but may need a little respite from the handicapper. Little Glenshee (Lucy) runs in the 3.50, 6 run, after two falls we will be looking for a clear round this time then Another Mattie (Lucy) runs in the 4.50, 6 run, he has run some very good races in defeat and deserves to get his head in front but this looks like a competitive little race for a decent prize. Finally we introduce two newcomers in the bumper, 6 run; Clan Chief (Kit) is a brother to Little Glenshee etc and this will be the first time he has ever left Kinneston, he will learn a lot tomorrow I hope; Dutch Canyon (Blair Campbell) has been to Musselburgh a couple of times, latterly for a racecourse gallop with Blair on board and he worked nicely however he won’t run if there is any overnight rain.
