Frosty first thing then showers of wet snow, fair now but to be cold again tonight.   Thursday is our quieter day exercise wise with many horses having worked on a Wednesday, most of them out for a hack and others schooling –  jumping well today were Clan Chief, Spinning Away, Jet Master, Frankie’s Promise, Jet Master, McGinty’s Dream, Benny’s Secret, Lake View Lad, Afterclass and Farewelltocheyenne.

Catch was along at Milldeans to pick up or two recent purchases Christmas in USA and Allthekingshorses who will start training in earnest having had a chance to acclimatise.     A grand run from The Bishop at Carlisle yesterday to finish 2nd to a well-handicapped type, he’s an honest horse who gallops and jumps and can hopefully win his share of races.

Earlier Been Decided jumped well on his hurdling debut, he became a bit detached in the latter stages but this gives us something to build on, hopefully both will be back out soon.    Amy back down the road this afternoon with our one runner at Wetherby tomorrow, Lake View Lad who runs in the 3.35, Stephen rides and 11 run on heavy ground – he’s been  impressive so far and we hope he can build on that carrying a penalty tomorrow.

After that it’s looking like Alnwick for the point-to-point on Sunday, Catterick Monday (perhaps), Ayr Tuesday, Musselburgh Wednesday (perhaps) and Kelso Thursday…..
