I haven’t dared update this “blog” for a few days for fear of boring on about the weather but am pleased that the rest of the world had a glimpse of what we have to put up with via the Open at St Andrews and it hasn’t rained today, yet, no doubt it will but the forecast is marginally cheerier for the rest of the week so you never know we might actually get back on the riverbank gallop and dare I say it, even make some hay.

A wonderfully dramatic and drawn out golf tournament at the theatre of dreams that is The Old Course, I was lucky enough to be there on Thursday and Friday which I thoroughly enjoyed as well as being able to step out of a Dinner on the course on Friday evening to cheer Tom Watson up the final fairway for the last time in the gloaming.CKJZXhmXAAAUzJD

Busy here now with most of the team back and about 25 being ridden, still not quite finished the summer refurbishment and improvement programme so a little challenging, about to make some entries for Perth next week for Bertie Milan, Andhaar and a new 4yo filly we have here called Gotcha.

"Beetle" the pug now has a friend in the form of a 7 week old whippet - I'm not sure I would advise having two puppies at the same time and the five kittens are about to burst into life - do I deserve this?
