Cooler today, and a more unsettled look to the forecast in the medium term which is just as well with conditions drying quickly.20140416-F14_6703_xlarge  As well as making lots of entries and plans for next week we are beginning to look further ahead and make plans for next season, inevitably there will be some horses that we feel it is time for pastures new for whatever reason, some will be retired from racing but a few will go on to make good point-to-pointers, I have been delighted to see how well the two we sold this time last year have done, both Tipsy Dara and Flaming Thistle have given their new connections lots of fun and both appear to still be in their prime, hopefully this will dispel the myth that if we think a point-to-pointer is going to be any good we would keep it for ourselves; simply not true and we will have some good prospects coming up later in the spring.

Quieter day for most of the horses today but useful jumping for Jet Master, Ceilidh and Humphrey Bee who will all hopefully feature amongst our entries for Perth next week.  Frank was in yesterday and as ever took some great photographs, a small selection here but you can see more here – www.frankcornfield.com20140416-F14_6717_xlarge
