Assuming there are actually people who read his blog some of you may have picked up that last week was Mrs A’s 25th wedding anniversary. Lost for a suitable idea for a present she came up with the idea of a  new greenhouse (given that the old one was dilapidated to the extent of being unsafe), ah, too expensive said I;  then I suggested that I might stretch to half a greenhouse and she could give me the other half, deal done, construction nearly complete.  Obviously I have had to make it clear that my half is the “chillaxing” area and her half is the productive area; I look forward to many evenings sitting in my lounger sipping something cold whilst  she lovingly tends her tomatoes.

Big advances here this morning with the riverbank back in action and the first faster work on the “horseshoe” grass gallop, working nicely on the latter were Cheatingsideoftown, Four Fiddlers and Makhzoon.

The next generation enjoying the late summer sun at Kinneston, 2yo gelding on left by Midnight Legend ex Harrietfield (her 9th and final foal), then  yearlings by Flemensfirth ex Laboc (sister to Gold Cup winner See More Business) and in rear Flemensfirth ex Minora (dam of Buffalo Ballet etc) – they look a bit tubby!
